A relative gifted 2 million: the rector of the Odesa university explained the origin of the money
The Rector of the State University of Intellectual Technologies and Communications, Oleksandr Nazarenko, declared a gift of 2.06 million hryvnias from Lidiya Nazarenko, who is his close relative.
According to the declaration, Lidiya is not his wife, but they share an apartment in Odesa.
In 2022, Nazarenko purchased a separate apartment of 60 square meters in Odesa for 1 million hryvnias and also began the construction of a 300 square meter vacation home by the sea. Last year, he declared about 500 thousand hryvnias in salary and 50 thousand hryvnias in pension income.
The rector explains the origin of significant funds as a gift from his relative.
