Sybiha: Russia’s conditions for peace are ultimatums, unacceptable for Ukraine

The conditions put forward by Russia regarding the ceasefire and peace are ultimatum-like and cannot be a subject for serious discussion for Ukraine.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha during a joint briefing with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys.

According to the diplomat, the world — especially certain capitals — must realize: Ukraine will not lose this war, and Russia will not achieve victory. Sybiha also accused Moscow of stalling the peace process, emphasizing that the Kremlin has not yet responded to Ukraine’s ceasefire proposals, which were communicated before the second round of negotiations in Istanbul.

«In Istanbul, they simply laid out a list of ultimatums that cannot be accepted in diplomacy. This is further proof that pressure on Russia and its allies must only be intensified», — Sybiha noted.
