The collection of signatures for the dismissal of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the entire government has begun in the Verkhovna Rada. The initiative was launched by former parliamentary speaker Dmytro Razumkov, who leads the inter-factional association "Reasonable Politics".

This was reported in Razumkov’s statement.

"The government must be dismissed - we, together with the ’Reasonable Politics’ team, are initiating this process," emphasized the MP.

According to him, the Cabinet has failed in all areas of its activity.

Among the main problems, Razumkov cites the budget deficit, lack of funds for the army, and the threat of delays in payments to defenders for the second year in a row.

International policy also turned out to be unsuccessful. Due to government inaction, Ukraine lost the economic visa-free regime, and the Ukrainian economy lost at least 3.5 billion euros annually.

Razumkov also reminded that industrial production fell by 6.1%, tariffs and taxes increased, resulting in hundreds of thousands of closed individual entrepreneurs and job losses.

"Now the entire parliament, to which this government is accountable, must unite. There’s no politics here. This step will be a lifesaver for our state, without exaggeration. Because if these ignoramuses continue to work in the Cabinet, we will simply lose everything that our defenders are currently protecting at the front. Everything the rear is doing, supporting both the social sector and our army," Razumkov is convinced.

He added that if Shmyhal has even a drop of conscience left, he should resign on his own.

"This would be at least some responsible decision after everything that his team has led the country to! And it would save time that would have to be spent preparing documents for the government’s dismissal," Razumkov noted.

Meanwhile, signatures have begun to be collected in the Verkhovna Rada for Shmyhal’s resignation from office.

As explained by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, along with the prime minister, the entire Cabinet composition goes into resignation.

However, the Law "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law" contains operating Article No. 10 "Inadmissibility of terminating the powers of state authorities, other state bodies under martial law conditions." It states that "during the period of martial law, the powers of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine cannot be terminated."

"Therefore, yes, dismissing the prime minister and choosing a new government is ’terminating the powers of the CMU.’ That is, it is directly prohibited now by Article 10 of the martial law law, even if Shmyhal writes a resignation statement on his own," Zheleznyak stated.

Recently, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko officially submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution on the dismissal of Olha Stefanishyna from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and Minister of Justice of Ukraine.

A draft resolution was also registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the dismissal of Serhiy Marchenko from the position of Minister of Finance.
