These funds could have been directed towards tripling the salaries of teachers and healthcare workers, strengthening the army, and providing decent pensions.

The Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy noted that by increasing taxes on fuel fivefold, it was possible to replenish the state budget by $1 billion this year. Additionally, in 2023, over $1.5 billion was brought out of the shadows, and in 2024 - $2.5 billion.

Let us recall, Hetmantsev previously stated that the "shadow" sector is the main obstacle to the development of the economy, as the level of the shadow economy in European countries is only 5-7%.
