The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, stated in the Verkhovna Rada that last week Russia resumed large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.
According to him, daily shelling continues, especially in front-line regions.
"The situation is difficult. This is a consequence of unprecedented attacks on the energy system that occurred both last year and this year. Unfortunately, strikes have resumed now – last week there were large-scale attacks, as well as daily strikes on equipment near the front," the minister noted.
Currently, according to Halushchenko, there is no threat of power outages, but the situation may change depending on the aggressor’s further actions.
