Ukrainian shooter-medic eliminated over 10 invaders in his very first battle

A warrior of the Chernihiv 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade’s rifle battalion, Serhiy Tsyhulyov, destroyed more than ten occupiers during one battle. For the rifleman-medic, this was the first real combat outing and the first success.

The battle took place on the Northern Slobozhansk direction. This story was shared on the brigade’s Facebook page, as well as in the Operational Command "North".

It was noted that on the line of armed confrontation, the riflemen acted in coordination with a separate assault regiment. The battalion received the order: enter after the assault actions, secure, hold the positions just captured by the assault troops, and not allow the enemy to return.

"The boys worked clearly, without panic, with an understanding of the situation. One of the soldiers deserves special mention. After all, his actions are now cited by commanders as an example," the message reads.

Specifically, the rifleman-medic Serhiy Tsyhulyov took a position that the enemy was attempting to capture again. When movement started on that side, it was initially unclear whose group was approaching. The Russians acted cautiously and asked from a distance: "Are you from such-and-such a unit?".

The Ukrainian warrior calmly replied: "Yes, from there. Come closer!" He allowed the occupiers to come nearer and only then began to act: shooting clearly, confidently, and accurately. As a result, he destroyed more than ten invaders.

The actions of the soldier were noticed from the sky: commanders of the assault groups kept the situation under control and provided him with support, so it was a clear interaction of the defenders.

"This is the essence: when a soldier acts, when he shows initiative – he is seen and supported. This is not just a separate story. This is the beginning of trust. The birth of a real team, a combat family. Such a characteristic is not just pathos. Because an ordinary soldier, a rifleman-medic, at a critical moment, did more than was written in his job description. And it is precisely such people who form the character of the unit," noted the Operational Command "North".

After the battle, the commanders of the assault regiment told the Chernihiv 158th Brigade simply and accurately: "Your guys are great. They stood confidently. They did not refuse. They received the task – and completed it".

Thus, this battle on the Northern Slobozhansk direction became the first page of the combat path for the rifle battalion. And along with it – the beginning of a glorious history for the brigade. And although there will be many tests ahead, the military says, comrades now know: these guys can, and they hold.
