In Kharkiv, a 10-year-old girl drowned in the Petrenkivske Reservoir

In the evening of July 4, a girl born in 2013 drowned while swimming in the Petrenkivske Reservoir in Kharkiv.

According to the State Emergency Service, the child swam about 15 meters from the shore and suddenly disappeared under the water.

Witnesses tried to save the child but could not find her. A diving team from the Interregional Humanitarian Demining and Rapid Response Center was dispatched to the scene. After the search, the girl’s body was found and brought to the surface.

The incident occurred in the Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv around 17:45.
