
A tragedy occurred in Zhytomyr on the morning of July 10th. The body of a child was found on the sidewalk near a multi-story building, and the medics who arrived on the scene pronounced the girl dead.
Preliminarily, the 6-year-old child fell from the fourth-floor window in the morning while the family members were still asleep. This was reported by the Zhytomyr Region Police.
"The report of the tragedy was received by the police around 05:45 on July 10th. A passerby reported discovering the body of a child on the sidewalk near the multi-story building. A mosquito net was found nearby, indicating a likely fall from the window. An investigative team from the Zhytomyr District Police Department No.1 and emergency medical personnel were on the scene, confirming the girl’s death," the statement said.
Law enforcement officers believe that the 6-year-old child fell from an open window on the 4th floor of the multi-story building. Other family members were still asleep at the time.
Currently, police investigators are establishing all reasons and circumstances of the event.
