The Cabinet of Ministers may reduce the number of administrative staff due to the merging of ministries.
This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyrydenko, during a conversation with journalists.
Svyrydenko was asked to comment on the possibility of reducing the Cabinet’s staff (decreasing the number of employees working in the Cabinet Secretariat).
"Where we have the merging of ministries, I think it is, of course, obvious. The main thing is that the government does not lose functionality," the Prime Minister noted.
She clarified that it is currently important to maintain a number of people that ensures the performance of the respective functions.
"But where there is a merging of ministries, of course, we expect that after conducting an audit, there may be some reduction," Svyrydenko added.
