President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff on Friday. He reported this in the evening address on July 25.
Zelenskyy said that representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of Intelligence reported on the challenges for the summer and autumn and on Russia’s plans.
“We discussed in detail which threats need to be responded to. There was a report on the operational situation, presented by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. All operational directions, including Pokrovsk, received the most attention. In the Sumy region, we continue to act in the border area,” he noted.
The President thanked the Ukrainian units operating on Russian territory.
Additionally, according to him, the Minister of Defence reported on the assistance received from partners:
“We are ensuring the reliable delivery of weapons to Ukrainian soldiers. I instructed to prepare the Technological Staff – specifically regarding drones. There is an approved plan – to reach the number of 500-1000 interceptors per day, this is very challenging. Per day within specified terms, and it’s the personal responsibility of each of our officials.”
The head of state mentioned visiting one of the companies producing interceptor drones. He thanked the developers, “who actively support this topic, making it more extensive specifically in the troops, in our defense. We contract everything we can – as much as possible.”
