The law on restoring the powers of NABU will be adopted next week, - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Verkhovna Rada will pass a bill restoring the powers of the NABU already next week.
He announced this during a conversation with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
«We discussed the document that will ensure the independence and efficiency of Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies. I thanked the European Commission for the expertise provided. We are unanimous: passing this bill cannot be delayed – we expect a decision next week», – said Zelenskyy.
In addition, the president commented on information about a possible freeze of financial aid from the EU. According to him, Ukraine continues the reforms necessary to receive funds within the Ukraine Facility program. In particular, on July 27, he signed laws on the reform of ARMA and on factoring – documents that were a condition for further funding.
