A sufficient number of votes have already been gathered in the parliament to pass the presidential bill regarding the restoration of the powers of NABU and SAPO.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to their own sources.
According to estimates from one of the interlocutors, the votes should even be sufficient "with a significant margin," while another notes the presence of a margin of votes, but not as significant.
In any case, it is expected that the bill introduced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will receive support on Thursday, July 31, from the majority of deputies from the "Servant of the People" party, as well as deputies from "European Solidarity" and "Voice." Overall, this should provide 180-190 votes out of the 226 needed.
"I believe that from the other part of the hall, remnants of OPFL, deputy groups - we will gather these 40 votes," one of the publication’s sources noted.
At the same time, none of the interlocutors expect support for the bill from the "Batkivschyna" faction.
It is worth noting that the number of potential votes for restoring the independence of NABU and SAPO is gradually increasing. For instance, as recently as Monday, July 28, some interlocutors in "Servant of the People" assumed that the 226 votes "in favor" would not yet be gathered.
