Zelenskyy responded to Putin’s new statements: "We are ready for the summit"

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Telegram.

The head of the Ukrainian state noted that Kyiv supports the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war with Russia against Ukraine, all killings, and to achieve a decent and lasting peace.

Zelenskyy also expressed gratitude to all the countries supporting the work on establishing peace.

"We hear statements from Russia, and if this is a signal of their serious willingness to end the war with dignity and establish truly lasting peace, rather than just an attempt to buy more time for war and delay sanctions, then Ukraine once again confirms its readiness for a meeting at the leaders’ level at any time," the president emphasized.

Zelenskyy reminded that in Ukraine, there is an understanding of who truly makes decisions in Russia and who must end the war. The whole world understands this too. Hence, Kyiv proposes to move from exchanging statements and technical team meetings to a conversation at the leaders’ level.

"America proposed this. Ukraine supported it. Russia needs to be ready," he added.
