As part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA, another Ukrainian girl who had been on territory temporarily occupied by Russian invaders for over three years has been returned to Ukraine.
This was reported on Telegram by the Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
According to Yermak, the 13-year-old girl dreamed of going to her grandparents who live in Ukraine-controlled territory and maintained contact with them throughout the occupation.
“After a long hesitation, she eventually dared to make the journey, which ended successfully — today the child is safe and surrounded by her family, whom she hasn’t seen for over three years,” noted the Head of the President’s Office, expressing gratitude to the Helping to Leave team for assisting in rescuing the child.
