In the Sumy region, an enemy drone carrying cluster anti-tank mines was shot down — MIA

In the Sumy region, the Defence Forces of Ukraine detected and destroyed an enemy strike drone used for remote mining of territories.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the drone had cassette containers with PTM-3 anti-tank mines attached under its wings. These munitions are designed to damage equipment: they have a plastic body and are equipped with a magnetic detonator that reacts to the approach or passage of vehicles.

The use of such drones allows the enemy to remotely mine roads, fields, agricultural lands, or other areas without the direct presence of sappers.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns the population to be particularly vigilant in border regions and to report any suspicious objects or drones that may pose a threat.
