Russia may test the intercontinental missile "Burevestnik" in the coming days

Russia may soon conduct a test of the intercontinental missile "Burevestnik" with a nuclear propulsion system on Novaya Zemlya, as reported by The Barents Observer.

There is little official information about this, but several factors indicate that the preparation for the tests is nearing completion. For example, the military has closed the airspace in a 500 km zone along the western coast of the archipelago from August 7 to 12.

Preparation has been ongoing for several weeks. Since the late 1950s, this archipelago has been used as a site for nuclear weapons testing.
