In Dnipro, an investigation is being conducted into the possible beating of a man by TRC employees

An investigation has been launched in Dnipro due to the alleged beating of a former military serviceman by employees of the TRC. The TRC itself has already responded to the incident.

This is reported with reference to the press service of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Eastern Region.

It is noted that on August 8, a video was circulated on one of the Telegram channels, capturing the possible beating of a former serviceman by employees of the territorial recruitment center.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances of the incident and provide a legal assessment of the actions of all participants in the event. Currently, the registration of a separate criminal proceeding is being considered due to the physical resistance to the employees of the TRC office.

Reaction of the TRC 

In the Dnipropetrovsk Regional TRC and Joint Military Service, the information about the incident was called manipulative.

The TRC claims that a notification group stopped a citizen who provided his documents for verification. However, during this, an unknown man in civilian clothes and in a state of intoxication allegedly approached the group. He purportedly introduced himself as a current serviceman and began to insult and provoke representatives of the Regional Military Enlistment Office and Joint Military Service.

"Later, this individual ran into the entrance, the conflict ceased, but after 10 minutes, he emerged in military uniform without identification marks and continued the conflict with the servicemen of the TRC and Joint Military Service," the message states.

According to representatives of the TRC, during the conflict, it turned out that the man who provoked the employees of the TRC was not a current serviceman and had been deregistered from military accounting. Employees of the National Police were called to the scene, and investigative actions are ongoing.
