Zelenskyy called the holding of the Russia–USA summit in the USA a "personal victory" for Putin

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that holding the planned summit between the presidents of Russia and the United States on American soil is a «personal victory» for Vladimir Putin.

«Firstly, he (Putin) will meet (with Trump) on U.S. territory, which I consider his personal victory. Secondly, he is coming out of isolation, as he is holding a meeting on U.S. territory», – Zelenskyy is quoted by the AFP agency.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that this format of negotiations provides the Russian president with additional political dividends and symbolically demonstrates his return to the global stage.
