In 2025, Ukraine received 1 million large-caliber artillery shells as part of the Czech initiative.
This was announced by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala after an online conference of leaders of the "coalition of the willing" countries supporting Kyiv.
According to Fiala, these munitions were purchased by Western countries from third countries. In 2024, Ukraine received 1.5 million shells under the same program, and in 2025, it is planned to deliver another 1.8 million. About 20 countries have joined the Czech initiative.
