The DIU destroyed an ammunition depot and Russian invaders in occupied Melitopol

On August 16, as a result of an operation by the DIU of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya region, an ammunition depot and Russian invaders redeployed to the Zaporizhzhya direction were destroyed.

The explosion occurred at the moment of arrival of an enemy truck with personnel to the occupiers’ deployment site in the industrial zone near Korvatskyi Passage.

According to preliminary data, at least six Russian marines and members of the UAV crew of the so-called Kadyrov’s "Akhmat-Vostok" battalion were eliminated.

The exact number of irrecoverable and sanitary losses is being determined.

As a result of the explosion, an ammunition depot caught fire, and the sound of secondary detonation was heard. The occupiers sent four ambulances to the scene.

The operation significantly weakened the enemy’s logistics in the Zaporizhzhya direction and inflicted losses on the personnel and equipment of the Russian invaders.
