A large-scale mobilization will not solve the problems at the front, — former "Azov" commander

A large-scale mobilization will not solve the problems at the front for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by the former chief of staff of "Azov," Bohdan Krotevych, in an interview with journalist Natalya Moseychuk.

"Even if we assume that tomorrow 100,000 Ukrainian servicemen are mobilized into the army in one day, they will undergo a one-month basic course and join the troops, this will change the situation only for a couple of weeks, and then everything will return to previous positions," he noted.

According to Krotevych, "at the moment we do not have sufficient reserves, and those that are being transferred are something that was taken from someone else."

He pointed out that under-resourced brigades are sent to assault (which probably does not allow mobilization to compensate for losses).

"The brigades are on the front line with 30% staffing. According to the statute, they are absolutely incapable of combat. Nonetheless, they constantly receive orders to advance, improve tactical positions, restore positions, and the like. And they are not even able to defend," added the former chief of staff of "Azov."
