Ukraine is creating combat-ready reserves for the front, - Syrskyi

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is engaged in forming combat-ready reserves as part of implementing the decisions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Facebook.

According to Syrskyi, he participated in a meeting chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main priority is to strengthen the resilience of defense.

The general reported that during the meeting, the following were discussed:

• the situation at the front and on the borders with Russia and Belarus;
• the formation of reserves;
• cooperation with partners to ensure security.

"I reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the implementation of the Headquarters’ decisions regarding the creation of combat-ready reserves for the Defense Forces," Syrskyi noted, without disclosing details.

He emphasized that Russia is not abandoning its aggressive plans, but Ukrainian soldiers are countering them.

Syrskyi stressed that the main focus is currently on the Pokrovsk, Dobropillia, Novopavlivka, Kupiansk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. During the meeting, the issue of additional support needs for the military in these and other critical directions was raised.

"There are positive developments in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions - decisive active actions by the soldiers of the 225th Assault Regiment, the 71st Jaeger Brigade, and units of the Special Operations Forces are taking place here. Their combat work is an example of courage and professionalism," the general added.
