Zelenskyy: Russia rejects any attempts to end the war

A corresponding statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Commenting on the massive nighttime attack using various types of weaponry on Wednesday, September 3, the President of Ukraine noted that Russia is not trying to end the war. This is evidenced by the regular shelling from the Russian side.

Such strikes have already become regular, occurring several times a week. This is a clear signal that Russia rejects any attempts to end the war and wants to continue hostilities. We must proceed from the understanding that this is currently the main scenario for Russia, – stated Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, it is necessary to continue putting pressure on Russia through sanctions and tariffs. He emphasizes that the Russian economy is already in a difficult state, with a significant fuel shortage being particularly indicative.

"Many sectors of the Russian economy are declining, there are staffing issues and constant humiliation of Putin before China, to which he is trying to sell as much raw material as possible," – the Ukrainian president stressed to journalists.
