SSU General Vityuk was given a preventive measure: law enforcement officer’s comments appeared

The High Anti-Corruption Court obligated SSU General Illya Vityuk to pay a bail of over 9 million hryvnias. The decision was made on September 4 in Kyiv after several hours of deliberation.

After the session, Vityuk told journalists that he does not have personal funds to pay the bail. According to him, he will have to seek ways to comply with the court’s decision.

General Vityuk also commented on last year’s arrest of his apartment, calling it a standard preventive measure, not proof of guilt. He emphasized that in society, suspicion is often confused with recognition of guilt.

"We have the Constitution of Ukraine, and there is the presumption of innocence. These are procedural steps that I am prepared to take to prove my innocence," Vityuk noted.
