The deputy Khrystenko was returned to Ukraine from the UAE based on a political agreement

The deputy Khrystenko was handed over to Ukraine from the UAE through high-level political arrangements rather than through the extradition process.

This was reported by «Dzerkalo Tyzhnia», citing sources.

According to the available information, the process was coordinated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Umyerov, and the Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Poklad, was sent for Khrystenko, after which Khrystenko "voluntarily" decided to return to Ukraine.

Sources suggest that Khrystenko may provide testimony against NABU detective Ruslan Magomedrasulov, who is currently in the SSU detention center.
