In Bytom, the police detained a 32-year-old woman who, in a state of intoxication, attacked a Ukrainian citizen because of her nationality. The incident occurred in one of the local hotels where the Ukrainian woman was working.
Initially, the aggressive visitor verbally abused the woman, insulted her based on her nationality, and threatened her with violence. Soon, the verbal attacks escalated into physical violence — the attacker assaulted the hotel employee.
A police patrol arrived at the scene. However, the situation only worsened: the intoxicated 32-year-old woman did not intend to calm down and directed her anger at the law enforcement officers. She insulted one of them and attacked him, violating his physical integrity.
Police officers were forced to detain the troublemaker and take her to the police station.
The woman has been charged with insults and threats against the Ukrainian citizen because of her nationality, as well as insulting and assaulting a police officer on duty. The case has been referred to court. The attacker faces up to three years in prison.
