Russia attacked Sumy with drones: a school and residential buildings were damaged

On the night of September 11, Russians attacked the city of Sumy with drones. Civilian infrastructure was hit, and currently, there is a fire and destruction in the city.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of Sumy Regional State Administration Oleh Hryhorov and the channel of the acting mayor of the city, Artem Kobzar.

According to Hryhorov, the enemy attack targeted the Zarichnyi district of Sumy.

"The main strike did not hit the residential sector. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. There is a fire at the impact site. There is destruction and damage. The consequences of the attack are being assessed," he writes.

Meanwhile, Kobzar specified that two explosions were heard in the city. Both explosions were drone strikes on one of the city’s educational institutions.

"As of now, there is no information about fatalities or injuries.
All relevant services are working at the scene," he added.

The Sumy Regional State Administration confirmed that the drone attack damaged the buildings of an educational institution and the institution’s transport.

"Also, preliminary reports indicate that windows in three multi-story residential buildings were damaged. All necessary services are involved in mitigating the consequences," it informs.
