Against the backdrop of Russian drones invading Polish airspace, Warsaw has decided to develop new drone defence measures in cooperation with Ukraine. Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has already headed to Kyiv with relevant proposals, and in the coming days, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz will also travel to Ukraine.
This was announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk after discussions with European partners in NATO. He emphasized that Ukrainian anti-drone systems are the best.
"We have already agreed on specific negotiations and experience exchange with the Ukrainian side in the coming hours," Tusk stated.
According to him, Ukrainian systems represent "the best experience" for creating an effective anti-drone shield, as they have been tested on the battlefield.
The head of the Polish government also noted that he received "words of full support" from allies and "understanding of the need to organize support for the entire eastern flank," particularly for Poland. Specifically, "practical assistance to Poland" was promised by "the President of France and the leaders of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Sweden."
