The situation at the front: The AFU repelled 168 enemy attacks in the past day

As of 22:00 on September 12, there were 168 combat engagements. The Defence Forces are focusing their efforts on disrupting the offensive plans of the Russian occupiers and depleting their combat potential.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out one missile strike and 57 air strikes, used three missiles, dropped 88 GABs, utilized 2,236 kamikaze drones for attacks, and conducted 3,593 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas.

In the Northern Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, there were 2 attacks by Russian occupiers. Today, the enemy carried out one missile and 11 air strikes, used three missiles, dropped 19 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 102 shellings, including 2 from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansk direction, there were 14 combat engagements in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarne, and in the direction of Odradne, Kutkivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out seven attacks on our troops’ positions. Battles took place in the area of Holubivka and in the direction of Pishchane, Nova Kruhlyakivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian defenders’ positions 13 times in the Kolodyazi area and in the direction of the settlements of Shandryholove, Stavky. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian fighters have already repelled 16 out of 18 attempts to advance on our positions today. Occupier units attempted to advance in the areas of Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of the settlements Yampil, Dronivka, Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defence Forces halted five enemy attacks in the Orikhovo-Vasylivka area and in the direction of Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers assaulted our defenders’ positions 12 times today in the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and in the direction of Pleschivka, Stepanivka, Poltavka. The Defence Forces held back the enemy’s onslaught and repelled 11 assault actions.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made 37 attempts to dislodge our units. The greatest activity is observed in the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Shakhove, Mayak, Zatyshshia, Novoekonomichne, Mykolayivka, Myrolubivka, Udachne, Muravka, Dachne, Novoukrainka, and in the direction of the settlements of Myrohrad, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Filiia. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

According to preliminary calculations, in this direction, our fighters eliminated 99 and wounded 60 occupiers, destroyed two tanks, three vehicles, four motorcycles, 15 unmanned aerial vehicles, an ammunition depot, and damaged a vehicle, two artillery guns, a UAV control point, and seven enemy personnel shelters.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy made 10 attempts to break through near the settlements of Vorone, Maliivka, Ternove, Osavulske, Olhivske, and in the direction of Filiia, Ivanivka. Fighting continues in one location.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions but delivered air strikes on the settlements of Bilohirya and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupying forces carried out two attacks in the direction of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanilivka. The aggressor’s aviation delivered strikes on the areas of the settlements of Novoyakovlivka and Veselyanka.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy conducted two unsuccessful attacks on our defenders’ positions, simultaneously delivering an air strike in the area of the settlement of Lvyove.

No significant changes in the situation were observed in other directions.

Today, the 79th Border Detachment should be noted for effectively holding back the enemy.
