The oil refinery in Ufa was attacked by DIU drones: details of the Ukrainian special operation have emerged

On Friday, September 12, as a result of an operation by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Bashneft-Novoil refinery was attacked. It is located in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the city of Ufa (approximately 1800 km from Ukraine).

This was reported by OBOZ.ua sources in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. It is noted that after the arrival of kamikaze drones on the premises, powerful explosions occurred, and a large fire broke out.

According to preliminary data, as a result of the explosions, significant damage was inflicted, in particular, on the vacuum column for the primary processing of oil.

Local residents reported on social media about drones flying over the city, followed by explosions and a fire on the refinery’s premises.

Currently, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine indicates that the "UAV threat" regime has been introduced in the republic, the operation of Ufa airport has been suspended, and mobile internet has been disabled in the city itself. The final consequences of the operation are still being clarified.
