Ukrainian forces continue their offensive on the so-called Dobropillya Bulge. The occupiers involved in the "Russian breakthrough" are under threat of encirclement, facing a simple choice: surrender or perish.

This is reported by the analyst from Reporting from Ukraine. According to him, the story of the "breakthrough in the Dobropillya area" is coming to an end, and he describes what is happening there now and which factors have helped Ukrainians turn the situation in their favor.

According to Reporting from Ukraine, in the area of the so-called Dobropillya Bulge on the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian troops continue to attack Russian forces, destroying their strongholds. The blogger emphasizes that the occupiers in this section of the front have only two options: surrender to the advancing Ukrainian army or be completely annihilated.

"After successfully penetrating from the heights in the west, Ukrainians are now launching attacks from the north as well, thereby completing the encirclement of the Russian Dobropillya Bulge. Ukrainians are using highly skilled infantry units for the offensive, engaging in battles with Russian troops along the way," the analyst noted.

In favor of Ukrainian forces in the battle in this section of the front are significantly better ground communication lines stretching from Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka, which function as central operational hubs for Ukrainian forces north of Donetsk.

Additionally, as Ukrainian supply lines approach the frontline, they pass through several settlements in a valley between two hills. This blocks signals for Russian drones, which mostly rely on FPV kamikaze drones rather than munitions dropped from drones, the analyst points out.

"The Russian fiber-optic system still accounts for only about 20% of the total number of FPV drones used by Russians, so the valley through which Ukrainians are moving is largely protected from most Russian strikes. Buildings in the settlements and forest strips stretching along them provide additional means of concealment for Ukrainian infantry units passing through," explained Reporting from Ukraine.

Another significant advantage for Ukrainian soldiers is the active use of heavy drones such as Vampire and "Baba Yaga." These drones, the analyst stresses, are capable of flying and remaining in the air over the valley despite weaker signals, which Russians suffer from much closer to the ground.

Reporting from Ukraine notes that geolocated footage of Ukrainian infantry advancing south through settlements "under the watchful eye and in constant communication with Mavic reconnaissance drones," which detect any Russian presence, has appeared online.

In one such video, Ukrainians first shelled a Russian position with fragmentation-high explosive rounds from grenade launchers. However, when it became clear that these rounds did not reach the basement where some occupiers were hiding, it was decided to strike the position with four mortar shells from a Vampire drone. As a result of several direct hits, the basement along with the invaders was destroyed.

"Russian infantry attempting to bypass Ukrainian attacks from the heights in the east are quickly intercepted by Ukrainian FPV drones patrolling the area, as the signal level on the high ground and slopes, which Russians must first traverse, faces far fewer obstacles," the analyst added.

He noted that during their systematic advance south, Ukrainian forces have secured full control over Volodymyrivka and are expanding the gray zone to fully envelop the Russian bulge.

"Ukrainians have avoided delivering the final blow to two Russian encirclements further north to lure more Russian troops into attempting to rescue them, while simultaneously keeping them away from key positions. However, since the trap is now springing, there is little reason to maintain these pockets, and the final cleanup operations have already begun," claims Reporting from Ukraine.

The analyst, citing the words of Ukrainian soldiers on the ground, also wrote that the so-called western cauldron has already been fully cleared, and now the focus is on the "eastern cauldron."

"Every Russian is first offered the chance to surrender, but if they refuse, they are immediately eliminated, as Ukrainian forces are urgently needed elsewhere, and maintaining a tight perimeter costs many resources. Overall, Ukrainians are closing the ’gates’ and destroying all remaining Russian soldiers, as Ukrainians on the ground are already reporting a rapid replenishment of the prisoner exchange fund," writes Reporting from Ukraine.

The analyst adds that in the gray zone, Russian units are being destroyed by drones, while Ukrainian infantry advances forward, leaving the fields littered with Russian bodies.

Finally, Reporting from Ukraine emphasized that the story of the Russian breakthrough in the Dobropillya area "is coming to an end" and predicted that "many Russian generals will soon start shifting blame onto each other, as the hammer of consequences will inevitably come from Moscow."
