Russians launched at least 10 strikes on Zaporizhzhya during the night of September 16. As a result of the shelling, there was significant destruction, fires broke out, one person was killed, and there are injured individuals.

This was reported by the head of the RMA, Ivan Fedorov.

In the evening, at 23:09 on September 15, an air raid alert was announced in the Zaporizhzhya region. The alert lasted for about two hours, during which the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA warned of the threat of GABs, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after detecting the threat of ballistic missiles, high-speed targets were heading towards the city. There were also claims online that the city was attacked using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

At approximately 00:35, the head of the RMA, Ivan Fedorov, reported that as a result of the enemy attack in Zaporizhzhya, cars were damaged, windows were shattered, and building facades were affected. Additionally, in one of the districts, a Russian strike caused a fire.

However, after the ballistic missile threat, Fedorov clarified that the enemy continued to attack the regional center, with hits recorded in private residential areas. Later, he wrote the following:

"Russians launched at least ten strikes on Zaporizhzhya. As a result of the attack, private houses and non-residential premises were destroyed. Fires broke out," the statement reads.

The number of injured in Zaporizhzhia continues to rise. Initially, one person was reported injured, then five, and as of 06:04, the number of injured reached 13 people, including two children. One person was killed.

"13 wounded, including two children: victims of the nighttime enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia continue to seek medical assistance. The injured children, aged 4 and 17, are under medical supervision," Fedorov informed.
