The Cabinet of Ministers proposes an increase in social standards for the population for the first time in two years

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to increase the subsistence minimum by 289 hryvnias (approximately 7 dollars) and the minimum pension by 234 hryvnias (approximately 6 dollars).

In the draft state budget for 2026, the subsistence minimum is proposed to be raised to 3209 UAH for the first time in two years. The last increase was in 2024, and since then it has been 2920 hryvnias.

It is also proposed to raise the minimum pension to 2595 UAH.

Subsistence minimum for the main social and demographic groups of the population:

- children under 6 years old — 2817 hryvnias;

- children aged 6 to 18 years — 3512 hryvnias;

- able-bodied persons — 3328 hryvnias;

- persons who have lost their ability to work — 2595 hryvnias;

- persons who have lost their ability to work, for determining the amount of additional payment for living in areas of radioactive contamination by court decision — 1600 hryvnias.
