Zelenskyy called on partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence after a massive strike by Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partners to continue strengthening Ukraine’s air defence.

The head of state announced this in an evening address.

"There was another massive Russian strike. Almost 580 drones, a significant portion of which were ’Shaheds’. Another 40 missiles. Many targets were shot down. The drone interceptors worked excellently today, mobile fire groups stood out, as did aviation – our F-16s, our army aviation. Thank you for every interception," the president said.

However, according to Zelenskyy, there were still hits.

"Nevertheless, there were hits. Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and other communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region were among the Russian targets. We still need to strengthen our air defence system, and this largely depends on our partners. And many have this power – the power that should protect lives. It should be used," the president emphasized.
