At night, Russia launched 115 drones at Ukraine: Air defence destroyed 97
There were 17 hits recorded in six locations, fragments of downed drones fell in two more places.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From 21:00 on September 26, Russia launched a massive attack, firing 115 strike drones of types "Shahed," "Gerbera," and other models at Ukraine.
The launches were carried out from several directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and from Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. More than 70 of them were specifically "Shaheds."
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack. Unmanned systems were also actively used.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence managed to destroy or suppress 97 enemy drones of various types in the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Despite the high efficiency of the air defence, there were 17 hits by strike drones in six locations. Additionally, fragments of downed drones fell in two more places.
