Fertility in Ukraine has fallen threefold over 10 years, - MP Pavlenko
Birth rates in Ukraine have decreased threefold over 10 years. The reason is not only the war.
This was stated by Member of Parliament Yuriy Pavlenko.
«Children are the most valuable for our nation. Last year, 176,000 were born, and this year, no more than 170,000 are expected. For comparison: in 2009–2013, over 500,000 were born annually, and in 2014, it was 376,000. Birth rates are declining not only due to the war but also due to the government’s weak performance,» — Pavlenko.
