Zelenskyy signed new sanction packages against the "Putin system"

Today, on Saturday, October 4, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed new sanction packages against the "Putin system".

This was announced during the evening video address of the head of state.

According to Zelenskyy, the new sanctions concern various directions. In particular:

• the first decree - is the extension of sanctions, whose term was expiring. The restrictions concern Russian entrepreneurs and their connections with the "Putin system".
• the second decree targets the Russian military industry, namely - manufacturers of drones and components.
• the third decree - are Ukrainian sanctions against individuals and companies related to the Russian oil sector.

"We continue our comprehensive policy of pressure on Russia. We will continue to coordinate this with our partners. Many Ukrainian developments already form the basis of our partners’ sanctions. We are counting on the synchronization of our sanctions with partners," the president declared.

The head of state also noted that Ukraine expects the 19th package of sanctions from the EU and corresponding steps from the United States.

The President emphasized that Russia ignores or rejects literally every opportunity that would allow ending the war and guaranteeing security. According to Zelenskyy, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin wants to fight, and to fight using "terrorist methods, vile methods".

"Russia must feel the responses to this. Europe, America, G7, G20 have the power to deal with any terrorist. It will happen. I thank everyone who helps protect lives," concluded the head of state.
