Oleksandr Khilyk fled after beating a cyclist, allegedly due to his wife’s illness

After the incident in which Oleksandr Khilyk beat a cyclist, the man left the scene.

He explained his actions by saying that his wife felt unwell. According to eyewitnesses, the people present allegedly themselves urged him to go help his wife: «Take her away from here, leave, you don’t need to be here».

Social media users and eyewitnesses are outraged by such an explanation, doubting Khilyk’s sincerity, and they note that the applause in his favor was unfounded.
