Russian troops struck Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region on the evening of Friday, October 10.
This was reported by the press service of the Kramatorsk City Council.
"From 23:06 to 23:11, with the use of two Geran-2 UAVs, Russian troops attacked a school," the message states.
It was revealed that two "Geran-2" type drones (analogous to Iranian kamikaze drones) hit the building of General Secondary Education School No. 12 named after Stepan Chubenko.
As a result of the attack, the educational institution’s building suffered significant damage. This is not the first time that Russian troops have deliberately destroyed educational institutions in the Kramatorsk community.
Such strikes on schools, kindergartens, and other educational facilities are a gross violation of international humanitarian law and are classified as a war crime since civilian educational institutions have no connection to military infrastructure.
Currently, work is underway at the site of the strike to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
Nearby residential buildings also sustained damage.
