Russian occupiers have advanced near Torske in the Donetsk region and increased the "gray zone" towards Lyman and in the Zarichne area.
This was reported by analysts from the DeepState project.
It is noted that the Russians focused on the forests up to Lyman after unsuccessful assault actions on Yampil. Analysts shared that initially the enemy began to gather in the forest north of Yampil, after which they tried and still try to cross the railway and enter the settlement.
"Subsequently, the Russians began to bypass Yampil to the west, hiding in the forested area to find entry points into the settlement. These attempts are still ongoing, with varying success, as sometimes one or a few individuals penetrate the village and end up dying there," DeepState reported.
According to analysts, in recent days, the Russians have increased the area of their infiltration attempts, and they are already being recorded in different parts of the "gray zone" forest. The enemy has been several times on the outskirts of Lyman.
"The enemy usually uses the cover of night and tries to penetrate deep into the territory with small groups of infantry, primarily to survive and wait for the arrival of other groups, forming clusters. The advancement is also carried out through the positions of the Defence Forces, which are insufficient for such an area; however, constant monitoring and the work of pilots save the situation, as they try to detect the enemy to prevent them from gathering in certain places. At the same time, cleanup groups are working to prevent advancement and concentration of the ’katsapnya,’" the analysts added.
