Situation on the front line: AFU repelled over 120 enemy attacks in a day

As of 22:00 on October 24, there have been 121 combat engagements.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The occupiers launched one missile strike and 39 airstrikes, using two missiles and dropping 81 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the Russians deployed 3,502 kamikaze drones for attacks and conducted 3,523 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled one assault by the occupiers. The enemy also carried out three airstrikes, dropping six guided aerial bombs, and conducted 174 shelling attacks, four of which were from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 11 times near Vovchansk, Odradne, Bolohivka, and Kamyanka, with three combat engagements still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, enemy units carried out four assault actions, attempting to break through to the positions of our defenders in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka and towards Pishchane, with one attack still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions 10 times near the settlements of Karpivka, Serednie, Myrne, Drobysheve, and Shandryholove.

In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy attempted to break through four times in the areas of Serebrianka and towards Dronivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one combat engagement was recorded, with enemy units attempting to advance in the area of Vyimka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Russians attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 11 times. The occupiers concentrated their offensive efforts in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Rusynyi Yar, and towards Predtechyne.

Since the beginning of the day, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units attempted to breach Ukrainian defences 37 times in the areas of the settlements of Nykonorivka, Maiak, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Horikhove, and Dachne. In some locations, fighting continues unabated.

The Defence Forces are holding back enemy assaults, and the enemy is suffering significant losses—today, in this direction, 97 occupiers were neutralized, 60 of them irretrievably. Our defenders destroyed one unit of automotive equipment and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles. Additionally, Ukrainian defenders damaged a tank, an artillery system, a vehicle, and eight personnel shelters.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian units stopped 19 enemy attacks on our troops’ positions near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Filiia, Oleksandrohrad, Sosnivka, Novohryhorivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Vyshneve, and Novovasylivske, with one more combat engagement still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attempted to advance six times near Stepove and towards Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to advance, suffering losses.

Today, it is worth highlighting the soldiers of the 34th Separate Coastal Defence Brigade, who are effectively countering the enemy.
