Zelenskyy: Russia has concentrated its main strike group against Pokrovsk — the situation there is difficult

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia has concentrated its main strike group against Pokrovsk, and the situation there is difficult. Fierce battles are ongoing on the approaches to the city, and Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) are present in Pokrovsk itself.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during his evening address.

"It is there, against Pokrovsk, that the Russians have concentrated their main strike group - and this is a significant number of occupying troops. Of course, this creates a complicated situation in Pokrovsk and in all neighboring areas. Fierce battles are taking place in the city, on the approaches to the city, and there are SRGs in the city. Logistics are difficult," the President informed.

At the same time, the head of state emphasized the need to continue destroying the enemy and inflicting losses on the adversary as quickly as possible.

Zelenskyy also added that the plans for Russia’s offensive operation have once again been disrupted.

"The Russian plans for their offensive campaign over the past ten months of this year have once again been shattered thanks to the bravery of our warriors. All the deadlines that Putin set for them, the Russian army failed to meet, and this is not the first time," the President stated.

The head of state reported that there is good news from Ukrainian paratroopers these days. In particular, from the 82nd Bukovyna Brigade, which is operating in the Pokrovsk direction in the Myrnohrad community.

"And every such result in the Pokrovsk direction right now is extremely difficult, but extremely important," Zelenskyy said.

The President also noted that a lot has been done within the framework of the Dobropillya operation. According to the head of state, there has been a significant replenishment of the "exchange fund" for Ukraine in these areas.

"I thank every soldier, sergeant, and officer who is fighting there, in Donetsk region. Also in Kupyansk and Zaporizhzhya – all of this strengthens our positions in diplomacy, greatly helps our relations with the world. Thanks to your strength, Ukrainian warriors, the world continues to have the strength and motivation to pressure Russia for this war. To pressure Russia so that it is forced to end this war," the President concluded.
