Russian "oil refining" will pay more: Zelenskyy announces expansion of strike range on Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Headquarters, during which the expansion of the geography of Ukraine’s long-range strikes on Russia was discussed.

This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian state on Telegram.

According to the president, long-range sanctions against Russia were the main topic of the Headquarters meeting. The meeting was attended by weapon manufacturers and everyone responsible for the attacks.

"We analyzed the effectiveness of our long-range strikes over a certain period and the results achieved. Russian ’oil refining’ is already paying a significant price for the war and will pay even more. We have defined tasks to expand the geography of applying our long-range capabilities," the head of state emphasized.

He added that work is already underway with manufacturers for long-term contracts. Three-year contracts allow producers to better plan the use of resources and scale up supplies to Ukrainian soldiers. The number of such contracts will increase.

At the same time, as Zelenskyy noted, the Headquarters also discussed Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure and energy facilities. The needs for protection and tasks for working with partners on the supply of air defense systems were determined.

"The necessary systems are available to our partners, and it is important for Ukrainian diplomacy to more actively prepare relevant decisions," he pointed out.
