Ukraine will have more mobile communication towers with emergency power supply. This decision was made amid power supply issues.

This was reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, on Facebook.

According to Umerov, the issue of Russian attacks on energy facilities and the resilience of mobile communications during power outages was raised at the Headquarters.

"We discussed priorities for protection and specific areas of cooperation with partners to strengthen the air defense system. A decision was supported to increase the number of base stations (mobile communication towers - ed.) with emergency power supply and to redistribute reserve energy sources with a focus on frontline areas," he noted.

Umerov added that key issues regarding the development of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities were discussed at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Together with manufacturers, the results of the combat use of long-range weapons were reviewed.

"The geography of long-range strikes on the aggressor’s territory will expand," he stated.

The Secretary of the NSDC also clarified that separate discussions at the Headquarters addressed the fulfillment of contracts for 2025 and plans for 2026-2028. Enterprises were instructed to coordinate weekly schedules for deliveries.
