Moscow is once again trying to intimidate European societies with a new «superweapon» — like «Oreshnik» or «Burevestnik.» And such information attacks are not random. The goal is simple — to make Europeans doubt their support for Ukraine.

This was stated in a post by the head of the CPD of the NSDC, Andriy Kovalenko.

After Europe’s weak reaction to recent drone provocations over airports and cities, the head of Russian foreign intelligence, Sergey Naryshkin, who has long promoted the concept of «hybrid scare tactics,» advised Russian leader Vladimir Putin to intensify efforts to intimidate Europeans, notes Andriy Kovalenko.

However, according to intelligence data, all these loud statements are nothing more than Kremlin information operations. The second launch of «Oreshnik» ended in failure, and «Burevestnik» still exists only in the realm of empty promises.

In fact, Putin is using Naryshkin’s ideas, who simply repeats the old tactics of Khrushchev during the Cuban Missile Crisis — when loud threats were meant to compensate for real technological backwardness.

There is no threat of a direct attack on NATO countries.

«Lavrov’s words (head of the Russian Foreign Ministry — ed.) about „security guarantees“ from Russia for NATO are part of the Kremlin’s information game. For now, the best counter to this game in the West is Trump with his nuclear submarine,» — wrote Kovalenko.
