Situation on the front line: Ukrainian defenders repelled 172 enemy attacks over the past day

The 1,345th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. In total, 172 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.

This was reported by the General Staff.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 80 airstrikes, dropping 177 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they conducted 4,323 shelling attacks, including 98 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 5,671 kamikaze drones for strikes.

Airstrikes targeted the areas of Pokrovsk in Dnipropetrovsk region; Zaporizhzhia, Orikhiv, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhya region; and Olhivka in Kherson region.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as two enemy artillery systems.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, five combat engagements took place over the past day. The enemy conducted 9 airstrikes, dropped 24 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 194 shelling attacks, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Kamyanka.

In the Kupyansk direction, 15 enemy attacks occurred yesterday. Our defenders repelled assault actions near the settlements of Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 17 times, attempting to penetrate our defenses in the areas of Drobysheve, Torske, Zarichne, Korovii Yar, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Stavky, and Novoselivka.

In the Slovyansk direction, our soldiers halted seven enemy attacks towards the settlements of Yampil, Serebrianka, Vyiimka, and Pereyizne.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defence Forces successfully stopped two enemy attempts to advance near Stupochky and in the direction of Virolyubivka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy launched 24 attacks in the areas of Predtechyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Berestok, Rusynyi Yar, Sofiivka, and towards Kostiantynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 55 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Shakhove, Dorozhne, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Balahan, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Filiia, Kucheriv Yar, and Dachne.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 21 attacks over the past day in the areas of Myrne, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Ternove, Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, Rybne, Pryvillia, Novohryhorivka, Vyshneve, and Pryvilne.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defence Forces repelled one enemy attack near the settlement of Zelenyi Hai. In the Orikhiv direction, five combat engagements took place – the enemy attempted to advance near Stepove, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, and Stepnohirsk.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled four enemy assaults towards the Antonivka Bridge.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings have been detected.

Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the occupation forces in terms of manpower and equipment, actively undermining the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
