
Power outages in the Moscow region due to an «emergency situation» following an attack by Ukrainian drones may indicate that Ukraine has the capability to cause a blackout even in the capital of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by Stanislav Ihnatyev, an expert from the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.
According to him, de-energizing Moscow is a complex but achievable task.
«We can partially de-energize certain areas in Moscow, the Moscow region, and the Greater Ring around Moscow… we can gradually move towards an energy blackout of key facilities,» the expert noted.

He pointed out that some facilities have a high level of protection, but Ukrainian specialists have already identified vulnerabilities, particularly in the infrastructure supplying fuel to occupied territories.
