President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that thousands of people are currently involved in restoring the energy system, and work in most regions is ongoing around the clock.
He stated this in his evening video address.
"In recent days, repair crews, energy workers, and communal services have been working almost around the clock in most regions – everyone is involved. Restoration is ongoing, and despite the difficult situation, thousands of people are engaged to stabilize the system and recover from the damages," the president wrote on Telegram.
He noted that the Russians have intensified their strikes, increased their firepower, and are using more ballistic missiles in their attacks.
"And this means for us a need for more air defense, larger equipment reserves, and clearer and faster work in the regions. Today, I would like to acknowledge the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine – they are always prompt. And this is how the work of all levels of government should be structured, from the government to the regions and our communities. Government officials must personally be in the regions. Maximum promptness and assistance to people," Zelenskyy remarked.
