Medvedchuk’s henchman, "Servant of the People" Oleksandr Kachura, hides duplicate companies and estates in Koncha-Zaspa
The "Servant of the People" party, since the 2019 elections, has been known for having the most diverse team. It includes wedding photographers, marketers, and various showmen. One of those who entered parliament under the green banners was Oleksandr Kachura, whose law firm provided legal support to the pro-presidential party. However, it has now come to light that there were two firms with identical names, and MP Kachura has rather questionable connections, including with pro-Russian forces.
During the pre-election period, Oleksandr Kachura was the founder of the law firm "Kachura Lawyers." According to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, Kachura was one of the first to contribute to the funding of "Servant of the People" in 2018. Moreover, his firm, which specializes in legal advocacy, for some reason handled the party’s accounting and provided its premises free of charge to the pre-election headquarters.
For unclear reasons, a few weeks after the 2019 parliamentary elections, the law firm "Kachura Lawyers" submitted documents for the liquidation of the company. At the same time, a new company with the exact same name, "Kachura Lawyers," was registered, though it had a different EDRPOU code.
Kachura’s partners in the new firm were lawyer Ruslan Sushko and Serhiy Chervanchuk, the husband of the MP’s wife’s business partner. The former is known for defending the notorious fighters of the "Tornado" battalion, who received long prison sentences for looting and violent acts during the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas. Additionally, Sushko is a frequent commentator on political events on television, where he is referred to as a former investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In 2021, Sushko was stripped of his right to practice law due to ethical violations.
Sushko, together with Kachura’s wife Kateryna, is a co-founder of LLC "Real School." Their business partner in the firm is Lyudmyla Chervanchuk, the wife of Serhiy Chervanchuk, who was also listed as a co-founder of the second "Kachura Lawyers" firm.
"Real School" is a company that sells courses for lawyers. From an interview with Kateryna Kachura, it can be learned that this is not real legal education but rather something akin to professional development, conducted in the form of lectures by founders of legal companies.
Another project of Kateryna Kachura is the "School of People’s Deputy Assistant." According to reviews from attendees, it is a typical scam aimed at extracting money, offering a four-day program promising employment as an assistant to a people’s deputy.
According to Kateryna Kachura, the business aims to help young people without experience enter the world of politics, and they allegedly have some notable success stories. One such story she mentions is the deputyship of a certain Oleksandr Lutsenko in the Lutsk City Council. In reality, Google does not recognize such a deputy in Lutsk, though it did find a namesake in Chernihiv.
Lyudmyla Chervanchuk, who assists Kateryna Kachura in teaching young talents, in her "free time" works as a chief inspector at the State Tax Service of Ukraine. The family resides in the elite village of Kozyn in Koncha-Zaspa. The mother of Kachura’s business partner Serhiy Chervanchuk, Tetyana, is the secretary of the Kozyn Village Council. Prior to that, she headed village councils in Stari Bezradychi, Pidhirtsi, and other equally elite villages in the Kyiv region.
It was a shock to find in the Chervanchuks’ declarations three estates in Koncha-Zaspa and one guest house, as well as nine land plots in Ukraine’s most expensive village. According to the registration data of Kachura’s business partner Serhiy Chervanchuk, the family lives on a well-known street, where their neighbors include prominent politicians and officials.
According to the court registry, in 2022, Serhiy and Lyudmyla Chervanchuk allegedly divorced. However, in the latest declaration of the tax official and business partner of Kachura’s wife, it is stated that she and her children continue to live in Koncha-Zaspa in a house registered to her ex-husband’s father. Additionally, she owns another house in the same elite Kozyn, which she shares with her sister.
The estate registered to the father of Kachura’s partner Serhiy Chervanchuk was formalized in 2018, the same year Oleksandr Kachura made his first contribution to the treasury of "Servant of the People," whose interests he later began to represent.
Interestingly, despite connections in power through his mother, Serhiy Chervanchuk never became a deputy, although he ran for office several times, including in his native Obukhiv district. Oleksandr Kachura, on the other hand, was much luckier, entering the Verkhovna Rada on his first attempt.
Some of Oleksandr Kachura’s and his wife’s companies are registered in the same office at 1/10 Bankova Street. This is a residential building next to the Office of the President. Here, in particular, Kateryna Kachura teaches those willing how to become an assistant to a people’s deputy in four days or how to become a prominent lawyer. Also registered in this office is the "International Academy of Politics," which is listed under the maiden name of Kachura’s wife, Poltavets. In this firm, she is assisted by the wife of the aforementioned lawyer Sushko, whose license was revoked.
At 1/10 Bankova Street, office 5, the law firm "Zhyla, Bobrovny, and Partners" is also registered. One of its founders is Anatoliy Zhyla. Judging by available information, he is a university classmate of Oleksandr Kachura, as both are listed as co-founders of the public organization "Institute of Referendum and People’s Power," and both the deputy and the lawyer are registered in the same dormitory of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Anatoliy Zhyla was listed as the head of the sanctioned political force "Shariy Party" from 2015 to 2019. This is the party of pro-Russian blogger Anatoliy Shariy, who was convicted in absentia for treason, and his wife, who is included on the sanctions list of the National Security and Defence Council. Until 2022, Anatoliy Shariy was defended by lawyer Valentyn Rybin, who also provided legal support to another traitor, Viktor Medvedchuk.
Oleksandr Kachura has several episodes linking him to Medvedchuk. First, there are photos online where he poses in a jacket with the insignia of the traitor’s public organization "Ukrainian Choice."
Second, since 2015, Oleksandr Kachura was listed as the head of Separate Unit No. 800896 of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "All-Ukrainian Public Movement ’Ukrainian Choice’" in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv. Kachura himself claimed in an interview that he might have been registered as the head of the organization without his knowledge. However, this is unlikely, as this unit is registered in the same dormitory where Kachura himself was once registered.
Third, Kachura is the owner of the trademark "Ukrainian Position." Visually, the logo resembles the old logo of the publication "Ukrainska Pravda."
At the same time, the registers contain data on a public organization named "Ukrainian Position." It is headed by Volodymyr Yurchenko. A person with the same name ran for deputy of the Kyiv City Council from Ihor Smeshko’s political party "Strength and Honor" in 2020. According to some information, Smeshko’s party might have been financed by Viktor Medvedchuk. There is no official confirmation of this.
In Oleksandr Kachura’s latest declaration, one can see a part of an apartment in Kyiv that he rents with his wife and daughter, as well as a rented house in Uzhhorod, which belongs to lawyer Ruslan Sushko, with whom Kachura has numerous business ties.
In his previous declaration, there was information about his wife’s apartment in Oleksandriya, Kirovohrad region, an apartment in Sumy region, and a rented apartment in Kyiv. Additionally, it was noted that since 2022, his wife had the right to use an apartment in Germany.
Meanwhile, in the registry excerpt for the Public Organization "Association of Assistants to People’s Deputies of Ukraine," it is stated that Kateryna Kachura, maiden name Poltavets, is registered on Pylyp Orlyk Street in Kyiv. This is the very center of the capital, just a few kilometers from Bankova Street, where the office with the organizations and firms of the Kachura family is located.
Against the backdrop of searches by NABU and SAPO in the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada and suspicions announced to MPs from "Servant of the People" on December 27, law enforcement agencies should also pay attention to the former party lawyer-accountant Oleksandr Kachura, with his unclear connections to pro-Russian organizations, business partners with estates in Koncha-Zaspa, and dozens of dubious NGOs that extort money from people under the guise of employment in the Verkhovna Rada.
