Searches and questionable declarations: Candidate for the head of customs Menshykov did not declare houses worth 13 million hryvnias

Searches, undeclared houses worth 13 million, fabricated savings: candidate for customs chief Menshykov.

This is reported by the Anti-Corruption Center "MEZHA".

Daniil Menshykov – former head of Lviv Customs. In 2022, the State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches at Menshykov’s place of residence in a case regarding the importation of over 60 cars from abroad without paying customs duties.

A full audit of Menshykov’s declaration for 2022 by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention revealed:
- undeclared 4 houses in Kyiv with a total area of nearly 1200 m² worth over 13 million UAH (registered under the name of his partner – the daughter of businessman Bushynsky and co-owner of a group of companies specializing in construction and real estate);
- questionable savings: the candidate’s partner saved 46 million UAH more than she could have: from 1998 to 2022, she officially earned over 42 million UAH, of which she spent 25 million UAH on acquiring real estate, while saving 62.9 million UAH.

Searches related to customs schemes, undeclared property of 1200 m², and discrepancies between savings and official income – these are questions that the Commission should hear answers to.
